The main attraction of our latest product range is the thermo-sealed PET containers. The incorporation of this innovative system into our packaging processes - developed in-house and exclusive to Queen Olives- has certainly proven to be a pioneering product in the olive packaging industry. Our thermo-sealed PET containers provide our products with important, distinctive features compared to other packaging materials such as glass, metal or other plastic materials:
Thermo-sealed aluminium closure- 100% oxygen barrier
Being tamperproof our thermo-sealed system (through electromagnetic induction) ensures optimal consumer safety and maximises the freshness of our products, besides the fact that it avoids any possible product leakage.
Excellent transparency
PET containers offer perfect visibility of their content enhancing the presentation values of the product.
Good impact resistance
PET is strong, impact-resistant and practically unbreakable. Furthermore, it ensures consumer safety as it eliminates the potential risk of glass splinters.
Lower weight- Optimisation in transport and handling
Today’s demand for more cost effective and easily transported containers makes PET containers the perfect choice as they are one of the lowest weight-containers available in the market. They offer substantial reductions in transport and handling cost for the whole value chain (lower fuel consumption, reduced noise and pollution).

Tasteless
Being naturally colourless and tasteless, PET containers are a modern, hygienic choice satisfying very strict regulations for packaging of food and drink. PET used for food applications is a very pure form and free of plasticisers or added stabilisers.
Protective barrier in both directions
The basic chemical structure of PET is essentially inert and resists attack by many potent chemicals. It is also very resistant to biochemical attack and environmental benign. This unique combination of properties makes it an excellent material for the packaging of foods.
100% recyclable
PET is one of the few plastics that can be 100% recycled into other applications using a variety of recycling procedures. Most of the PET collected, however, is recycled back into polyester fibres for textile materials, in particular for the filling of duvets and similar bedding.
